Shiloh Blue Hansmeyer

Shilo Blue Hansmeyer, 21, of Cheyenne, passed away Monday, Nov. 3 at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colo. after succumbing to brain injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

Shilo was born May 27, 1993, in Laramie, a son of Charles Hansmeyer and Leigh Hansmeyer. Shilo was raised in the Platte Valley and lived in the area until 2002.

Shiloh was an amazing artist and guitar player that played in several bands. He was an old soul that wanted to learn about everything in life and hear everyone's opinion on anything. He was an avid concert goer and loved music from the day he was born. His favorite quote was from Hunter S. Thompson – "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a Ride!'"

Shilo is survived by his mother, Leigh Hansmeyer, father, Charles Hansmeyer, stepmother, Erika Hansmeyer, sister, Cara Pittinger, brothers, River Hansmeyer, Noah Hansmeyer and Javier Torralba, uncles, Aaron Edwards and Ryan Edwards, aunts, Chris Ericksen, Janet Comstock Simoneau, Rachel Westover and Jennifer Edwards, aunt and uncle Judy and Walt Wilder, grandmothers, Barbra Hamilton and Chris Campbell, grandfather, Eddie Campbell, cousins, Stacy Wilder, Keelie Hamann, Kyser Hamann, Talon Hamann, Megan Davidson, Raymond Erickson, Shelby Wilder, Whitney Wilder, Maxwell Jordan, Robert and Kay Wilder, Makayla Wilder, Shannon Peth, Logan Westover, Avery Westover, Wendy Wilder, Tristan Gray, Braden Gray, Pipper Gray, Carter Davidson, Brandon Simoneau, Taylor Edwards, Beau Edwards, Paula Tejada- Edwards, and over 200 friends that were proud to call him family

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Hamilton, grandfather Richard Hamilton, and his great-grandparents Margret & Marvin Jonas.

A celebration of life was held in Cheyenne, at Lions Park, Saturday, November 8, 2014. Over 200 friends and family members attended to hear music, tell stories of his life, light fireworks, and dedicate Buddist prayers to his memory.
