The Platte Valley's future of agriculture showed they know their animals at the Carbon County Fair last week in Rawlins.
Aubrey Berger, of Saratoga, won overall Grand Champion for her Cochin chicken Monday. In the lamb show Tuesday, Aubrey nabbed the Reserve Champion Breeding Meat Doe in the breeding goat show.
Chaze Wiant, of Saratoga, won Grand Champion with his market goat Tuesday.
Rowdy Alameda, of Saratoga, won the Reserve Grand Champion for his market lamb Tuesday.
Koye Gilbert, of Encampment, earned the Reserve Grand Champion Hog on Wednesday with his medium-heavy weight hog.
On Thursday, Gavin Bartlett, of Encampment, had the Grand Champion in the steer show with his Angus calf and Kenzie Rakness won Supreme Grand Champion with her yearling heifer.
Agriculture is not the only area Platte Valley competitors strutted their stuff last week. Peyton Munroe earned Reserve Grand Champion Junior Showman, Grand Champion in Obedience, High Point Winner in Obedience and second in Rally and Agility competitions with her seven-month-old mini-Australian Shepherd puppy Coors.
Peyton also went home with a brand new sewing machine and several sewing supplies for her winning entry in the 4-H sewing contest.
