The Valley Service Organization (VSO) has scheduled three pre-primary election candidate forums in Saratoga.
Three forums were scheduled because of the number of candidates running in the Aug. 19, 2014 primaries, according to Sue Jones, VSO chairman for the event.

The county clerk—Gwynn Bartlett, county treasurer—Cindy Baldwin, county assessor—Cheryl Ross, and county attorney—Cal Rerucha are all running unopposed.
On July 29 at 6:30 p.m. Saratoga mayoral candidates include incumbent John Zeiger and challengers E.J. Glode, Lynda Healey, Glee Johnson and Don Sherrod .
On July 30 at 6:30 p.m. – Saratoga Town Council candidates include incumbent Steve Wilcoxson and challengers Chris Duke, Will Faust, Dave Jeffers, Richard Raymer and Joshua Wood.
Two council seats are up for election, and the top four candidates from the primary will go forward in the general election.
The format for each event will include each candidate presenting a brief summary of his or her platform followed by a question and answer period, Jones said.
All of the candidate forums will be held at the Platte Valley Community Center.
