James 'Jim' William Davis

James "Jim" William Davis, 84, of Saratoga, passed away at Deseret Health and Rehab May 12, 2014 with his loving family at his bedside.

Graveside services were held Monday at the Saratoga Cemetery. Pastor Gene Smith of Platte Valley Christian Center officiated. Funeral arrangements were handled by Carbon County Funeral Home of Rawlins.

Jim was born in Mountain View, Mo., on Jan. 10, 1930.

Jim was married to Pauline Pudge on Jan. 16, 1955 at Saratoga Presbyterian Church. They were married for 50 years.

Jim worked as a carpenter for Welton Construction for 30 years.

He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting and fishing, playing cards, laughing, telling stories and having a good time with family and friends. His hobbies included wood working for family and friends.

Jim is survived by daughter, Jeanette (Rocky) Goodro, of Saratoga; son, Charley (Carla) Davis, of Big Horn, Wyo., granddaughter, Amanda (Andy) Summers, of Broken Arrow, Okla., grandson, Chaz Davis of Big Horn; and two great-granddaughters, Lucia and Isabella LeCrone, of Broken Arrow; one brother, Virgil Davis, of Mountain View, Mo., and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Davis; his parents, Charley and Mary Buff Davis; and 11 siblings.

Pallbearers were Charley Davis, Chaz Davis, Rocky Goodro, Paul Dahlke, Ryan Malone, Pat Malone and Rodney Bennet.

Honorary Pallbearers were Jaxon Owen, Larry Vyvey, Jack Moore and Andy Summers.

In lieu of flowers, it is Jim's wish that everyone spend time with their families, establishing new traditions and memories.
