Veterans assistance coming to Saratoga

A Wyoming veterans service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct community outreach services in Saratoga.

Vicki Richards is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans’ benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs claims or VA healthcare.

Richards can also help veterans and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request healthcare. Richards, whose office is located at the Joint Forces Readiness Center in Cheyenne, will be available from 1 to 3 p.m. on May 20 at the Platte Valley Community Center.

For those who can’t make the Saratoga visit, Richards will be at the Rawlins VA Clinic, 1809 E. Daley St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 21; and the Rawlins ShopKo, 2100 E. Cedar St., from 8 a.m. to noon May 22. The visit to Shopko is done in conjunction with the Casper Mobile Vet Center.

During periods of inclement weather, check with the staff at the outreach locations to ensure the veterans service officer will be available. Contact Richards at 307-214-2112 for more information, or to schedule an appointment.
