Lady Tigers revved up for regionals

The Lady Tigers are ready to rumble at regionals this weekend in Lander.

With Friday’s 29-41 loss against Little Snake River, Encampment ended their regular season 9-12 overall and 3-5 for conference. Even with more losses than wins, the Lady Tigers still rank third in the 1A Southwest Conference.

Leading the way in their conference are Little Snake River and Cokeville.

Head coach Amy Clay said she thought her girls played well against the top-ranked Lady Rattlers.

“We played very well at times in this game, and I was proud of our effort,” she said. “We must take care of the ball and rebound better at regionals.”

For their first game at regionals, the Lady Tigers play St. Stephens (ranked second in the 1A Northwest Conference) at 7 p.m. tomorrow. The three-day regional tournament takes place tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at Lander Valley High School in Lander.
