Basketball game and dance

Saturday night the Laramie team of basketball players and the Saratoga team met in conflict in the opera house here, and put on a game that was well worth the price to those who attended. Saratoga winning by a score of 31 to 10. The Laramie team was handicapped both by not having two of their players and by being much outweighed by the local team. After the game a big dance was given for the entertainment of the visitors, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The Eastern Star served a supper on the stage at midnight. The Saratoga boys say that the Laramie boys are the best bunch of spots that have ever come into this town, and everyone were nice, clean fellows and good all round players. We hope that this is not the last we will see of them, and there will probably be another good game of two staged before the season closes.

Road matter to come before commission

A group of Saratoga businessmen are making their plans to go to Cheyenne Tuesday of next weeks to attend a meeting of the State Highway Commission. The delegation will have as its mission the completion of the Snowy Range highway from the west boundary to the intersection with the Rocky Mountain highway above Saratoga. The county recently completed the purchase of right-of-way for the road, and now every effort will be made to have the state start construction on the project this coming summer. It is expected the local delegation will be joined at Cheyenne by another group of businessmen representing the Laramie Chamber of Commerce.
