The Saratoga Panthers gave their season record a boost with a 67-50 conference victory over Southeast’s Cyclones last Saturday in Laramie.
Both teams were stranded in Laramie by the snow storm and made the best of a bad situation by playing Saratoga’s home game at Laramie High School.
Saturday’s triumph was a much welcome comeback for the Panthers, after they got stung 53-67 by the Pine Bluffs Hornets Friday, and previously lost 53-57 in their January game against Southeast.
“The boys played really well as a team and ran the floor well against Southeast,” said head coach Josh Sandlian. “They were able to run through offenses and we had several guys score.”
Last weekend’s conference match-ups put the Panthers at 9-11 overall and 1-5 for conference play. Up next for Saratoga are two home conference games this weekend: one starting at 3 p.m. Friday against Lusk, and another at 1 p.m. Saturday against Burns.
