Serving the Platte Valley since 1888
Students from all over eastern Carbon County proved their scientific knowledge at last week’s Carbon County School District No. 2 Science Fair.
Young scientists in grades fourth through seventh came from Saratoga, Encampment, Hanna, Elk Mountain and Medicine Bow Elementary Schools, to display and explain their projects at the Hanna Recreation Center Feb. 5. The panel of judges included district administrators, teachers, parents and other adults interested in what Carbon County’s young minds could scientifically create for presentation.
Of the 12 projects chosen, seven were from Encampment, three were from Saratoga and two were from Hanna. Before the district-wide science fair, the schools also had their own individual science fairs.
