Deadline approaches for eagle take permit comments

USFWS accepting comments until Feb. 3

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) still seeks public comment during its scoping period for the NEPA review of a possible issuance of an eagle take permit to the Chokecherry-Sierra Madre (CCSM) wind farm project.

USFWS has been delegated the authority to issue programmatic eagle take permits for wind farms such as CCSM.USFWS is asking for comments to help identify potential issues that the public would like them to consider related to the issuance of an eagle take permit.

They will use the public input to help craft their draft environmental impact statement (DEIS). The public comment period ends Feb. 3, 2014.
