The Wyoming Mountain Mensa chapter of American Mensa has a scholarship available for students living in Wyoming.
The scholarships for 2014 competition, ranging in value from $300 to $1,000, are awarded by the Mensa Education and Research Foundation scholarship program. All scholarship awards are based on a 550-word essay submitted online by the applicant, which describes the applicant’s career, vocational, or academic goal toward which the scholarship is to provide aid. Entries will be judged and a awarded at three levels: local, regional and national.
The only eligibility requirements are that the applicant will be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited American institution of post-secondary education in the 2014-15 academic year, and that the applicant is a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. The general awards are unrestricted as to age, race, gender, level of post-secondary education or financial need.
The deadline for all entries is Jan. 15, 2014. For further information, contest rules or to submit your essay, please go online at http://www.mensafoundation.org/scholarships.
