Nominations are now being accepted for the fourth annual statewide Wyoming Office of Tourism REACH (Rare and Exceptional Achievements in Customer Service and Hospitality) Awards.
The REACH Awards recognize businesses and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding service in the tourism or hospitality industry, and have enhanced Wyoming’s reputation as a first-class visitor destination. The four nomination categories include Customer Service Organization of the Year, Customer Service Employee of the Year, Industry Partner of the Year and Destination or Attraction of the Year.
Stacy Crimmins, executive director for the Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce, said the Grand Encampment Museum won Attraction of the Year for 2011, the first year the awards took place. She said all are welcome to make a nomination for any one of the four categories.
“The Grand Encampment Museum was a nominee for attraction, and they won the first year of the awards, which is a big deal,” Crimmins said. “People can nominate any business, attraction or individual they want, and they can even nominate themselves if they want. We would also be happy to do a letter of support if a person requests it. This is a great opportunity to nominate a favorite hospitality, business or agency for a wonderful award recognition.”
Awards will be presented during the 2014 Wyoming Governor’s Hospitality and Tourism Conference, Feb. 23-25, 2014, and nominations are due by Jan. 15, 2014. More information on the awards can be found at http://www.wyomingofficeoftourism.gov, and one may call the Wyoming Office of Tourism at 307-777-7777.
