Keep a lookout for Witches, Goblins, Ghouls and a few Princesses walking the streets of Saratoga Oct. 31.
For a safe and convenient way to trick-or-treat, parents, preschool and elementary-aged kids can come to downtown Saratoga from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31.
Many businesses will join in the fun by handing out treats and maybe some tricks, too.
Businesses wishing to participate in the Halloween Walk should call the Chamber of Commerce at 326-8855 so your name can be added to the list. Deadline to participate is Oct. 24.
Children attending Encampment and Saratoga elementary schools, as well as the area preschools, will be given the list of participating businesses.
Several other activities will be held for Halloween. Deseret Health and Rehab (formerly Valley View) will hold their annual carnival for preschool and elementary children from 2:30-4 p.m. Oct. 25. Proceeds for the carnival will be used to buy Christmas presents for the center’s residents.
Students can look forward to classroom parties at Saratoga Elementary School the afternoon of Oct. 31, and the American Legion will host a Haunted House, with various tricks and treats, beginning around 4 p.m. In addition, Saratoga Resort & Spa is hosting a Halloween Party from 5-7 p.m. in the Platte Room for kids ages 4-10 years old.
The Encampment School Student Council will be sponsoring their carnival Oct. 31, as well.
Upper classmen will have a variety of games for elementary children to play in the old gym. Tickets are available at the door and festivities are from 6-7:30 p.m. The Encampment Senior Center will also be hosting a Haunted House for children and adults beginning at 7p.m.
Halloween night, children are encouraged to trick-or-treat in their neighborhoods, too. All ghosts and goblins should wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight and be careful about crossing the streets.
