Shareen Johnson, the 2013-2014 Department of Wyoming President of the American Legion Auxiliary, of Lander, will be visiting Angus England American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 54, of Saratoga at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 26, 2013 at the post home.
The special meeting will be a carry-in dinner and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to complement roast beef.
Shareen is eligible for membership in the American Legion Auxiliary through her father, John Sturgeon, who is a member of Don Stough Post No. 33 of Lander, and who served 20 years in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.
She has chosen for her Auxiliary theme, “Go the Extra Mile!” For her special project, Shareen asks that each local Unit increase awareness in their area of the needs of our veterans and those currently serving in the military as well as their families, with special focus on the homeless veterans and those veterans suffering from war-related injuries including post-traumatic stress disorder.
