Panthers succumb to first season loss

The Saratoga High School Varsity Panthers had their first loss of the season against Midwest’s Oilers Friday evening, after two victories with strong leads.

The Panthers’ 70-12 loss against the Oilers was quite unexpected, after winning 58-12 and 62-22 for their first two games of the season. Assistant coach Josh Sandlian said there were some positives throughout the game, but that unexpected injuries and lack of focus on football basics slowed the Panthers down in the first half.
