Obituary: Vernon "Bob" Jackson

Vernon “Bob” Jackson passed away on July 26, 2013, at the age of 71.

Vernon was born Oct. 9, 1941 in Tampa, Fla., and was the son of Burrel and Jewell Jackson.

He married Vicky L. Beckham on Nov. 10, 1979 in Cheyenne.

Vernon served served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Marine forever. He loved everything about the Marine Corps, and the military.

He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. He loved riding his four-wheeler and motorcycle. He also loved to cook and spend time with his family.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Vicky, of Encampment; son Brandon (Susan) Jackson, of Encampment; daughter Brandy (Jim) Jackson, of Groves, Texas; and grandchildren Sean, Kyenna, Taylor, Dylan and Brookyn.

He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Walker, of Texas, and two nieces, of Texas.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brett Jackson; a nephew, James Jackson and a brother, Fred Jackson.

Cremation has taken place and there will be services at a later date for the family.
