The Fourth of July Craft Show is returning to Saratoga this year, presenting a variety of homemade, handcrafted items for show and sale.
This year will mark the first year the town is sponsoring the craft show, after Laura M, a Saratoga boutique and women’s clothing store, had sponsored the event for four years. Lisa Burton, organizer for the craft show, said she is currently trying to get as many people signed up as possible.
“Right now we’re just hoping to get more interest, and I’m trying to get more advertising going and call more people,” she said.
Local craftswomen at the fair will include Conna McGuire from Saratoga, who will present home decorations out of wine bottles, and Deborah Sala-Boggs and Cindi Jones-Dill from Rawlins, who will present Cowgirl Attitude Jewelry and Boot-n-Barbed Wire Jewelry. Sala-Boggs and Jones-Dill will show off their handmade custom jewelry and specialty accessories including sunglasses, hats and flip-flops.
Burton said she would like the craft show to focus mostly on homemade handcrafted products, rather than crafts that can be ordered from companies.
“We’re trying to keep to more homemade stuff,” she said. “We will have a variety of crafts to present, and vendors can sell or just show their craft. Vendors can set up from 8 to 10 a.m.”
The craft show is located at Hat Creek Park, on West Bridge Street.
The craft show is free and runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 4.
To register to be a vendor, call Lisa Burton at 307-326-8338 or 307-326-5417. Vendors must provide their own table and booth. The cost is $25.
