The Oshkosh, Wis., Police Department stated that Robert James Maki, who was suspected of stealing eight firearms from a residence south of Saratoga, has been arrested in Duluth, Minn.
On June 6 police arrested Maki, 59, who was wanted for parole violation out of Michigan, where he did time on burglary charges. Oshkosh police said Maki was seen in the Oshkosh, Appleton and Green Bay areas of Wisconsin June 3.
Aside from the Saratoga burglary, Maki was also linked to burglaries in Colorado’s Jackson and Routt County, Fort Collins, Colo., Rawlins and Douglas, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Items he stole included power tools, lawn equipment, guns, antlers and trophy mounts.
Oshkosh police said he may have been driving a stolen gray 2005 Kia Sorrento, with the Colorado temporary plate 67298K, and possibly trying sell firearms from the vehicle.
