Serving the Platte Valley since 1888
All is well in Encampment, although June flew by way too fast. We kept an eye on blood pressures of 40 people this month, thanks so much to Helen Weilend for Volunteering to do blood pressures this month.
We have had 58 coffee drinkers in as of Friday.
Quilters have been sewing away on Miss Nancy’s Quilt.
We have had over 100 game players throughout this month.
Our faithful volunteers deliver the home delivery meal and Kim and I appreciate it. I know the members receiving the meals appreciate it as well.
“Thank yous” go to Nancy Lynch, Vonda Wieburg, Laura Rettelle, Bob and Lois Thompson, Bill and Madeline Telfer. Your good deeds are very much appreciated.
Now to the fun stuff, our birthday/anniversary dinner was Friday night and we served 50 meals and had some excellent entertainment.
Special thanks to Debbie Easterling, Janet Zahn, and J.R. Hensley for great music and song, everyone loved it.
We had one birthday girl attend, Karen Casson, and six anniversary couples: Nancy and Marvin Lynch, Vonda and Jack Weiberg, Ron and MaryLou Noton, Rosalie and Wade Cousins, Bob and Lorraine Kelley, and some newcomers, Vangie and Donald Lucero. Our theme this month was geared for Father’s Day and door prize winners were Marvin Lynch, Monty Hobbs, Roy Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Lynch, who won the meal tickets.
Is this really work? I am having way too much fun with all these wonderful people. Have a great week.
