Firearms stolen in burglary

The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary of eight firearms from a residence south of Saratoga.

Investigating officials think the burglary occurred between 10:30 a.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The burglar, or burglars, stole a stainless steel Ruger Blackhawk .357 magnum pistol, stainless steel Ruger Blackhawk .22 pistol, Marlin model 25 mn .22 magnum bolt action rifle, a black Remington model 1100 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun, a stainless steel Ruger model 77, 7 mm Remington magnum, bolt action rifle with a stainless steel leupold 3x9 scope, a Marlin model 336c 30-30 lever action rifle, a Browning A-5 16 gauge semi automatic, Belgium-made “sweet 16” shotgun and a Winchester model 1300 12 gauge pump shotgun.

The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for any information about the burglary. Residents who purchased a firearm from an individual in the last week, or knows someone who is in possession of a firearm matching any of the stolen firearms, should call Carbon County Sheriff Jerry Colson at 307-324-2776 or 866-324-2776.
