American Legion Auxiliary met April 16 at the post with nine members present.
It was reported that the group was at about 94 percent of its membership goal with only five members needing to pay their dues. The American Legion Auxiliary heard reports from the four members that attended the district meeting in Rawlins April 13.
The group received seven scholarship applications. The committee met April 18 to rate the applicants and made a decision on the scholarship recipients.
The nomination committee presented a slate of members that were interested in being unit officers for the 2013-2014 year. Ballots will be mailed to the members to make their selections and need to bre returned Wednesday. They will be counted and the new officers will be installed at the May 21 meeting at the post home.
Discussion was held about honoring the veterans that are residents at the Desert Health and Rehabilitation Center on Flag Day. More discussion will be held about honoring the veterans at the next meeting. Shirley McCandlish will make her official visit during the May 21 meeting.
