Catching up with Encampment

Let us get caught up on the news from Encampment. Dominos were played on a daily basis; winners were Ginny Riddick once, Jack Riddick once, and Betty Merrill once, Joe Remick three times Phil Fleming twice, Madeline Telfer twice, and Bob Thompson. The Best of Friends is the puzzle that is being worked on. Bridge players were Rosemary Craighead, Shelia Johnson, Kay Fleming, Evelyn Hammer and Vivian Campbell on Wednesdays. Coffee drinkers were here every day. The quilters are still working on “Trip around the World” Nancy Lynch’s design.

We have our Birthday/Anniversary Dinner on May 17. Happy Birthday to Jo Bonnett, JohnFarr, Floyd Robeson, Laura Rettelle, Merl Von Orden, Leo Yantis, Sunny Belonck, Alan Braga, John Pratt and Mary Lou Noton. We have one anniversary our Board Member Lee Ann and Leroy Stephenson.

Entertainment for the evening will be Mr. Teense Willford. We are all looking forward to that. Let’s not forget breakfast at noon this Saturday. This will be the last Saturday breakfast until October, so please call to reserve your plate of sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, juice and milk. Bye for now, and bring on the rain showers and warm days.
