Town tackles budget

The overall budgetary goal of the town of Saratoga is to sustain what it already has.

According to the town’s new treasurer, Joe Elder, the goal is realistic within the proposed budget.

“We kind of have a pretty good picture of what we have,” Elder said.

Elder said the town of Saratoga won’t have a solid number on how much will be in the budget until the Saratoga Town Council conducts the first reading of the budget on May 22. However, Elder estimates the town’s 2013/2014 fiscal year budget will roughly reflect last year’s budget, $2,745,975.
