Boaters reminded to register boats

Spring weather is melting the ice from the Wyoming waters and boaters are anxious to get their boats out in the water.

The Wyoming Game and Fish boaters need to register the boats for the year.

Watercraft registration can be renewed online, at Game and Fish regional offices, at Game and Fish headquarters in Cheyenne.

New boats must be registered at the Game and Fish regionals offices or at Game and Fish headquarters in Cheyenne.

Watercraft registrations are computerized and employees at the Game and Fish office may be able to provide people who have lost their registration form with renewal information, according to a press release by the Wyoming Game and Fish.

Any boat, including a rubber raft or canoe, that has a motor is required to be registered with the Game and Fish.

Renewals can be made online at wgfd.wyo.gov.
