Club notes

Platte Valley Kiwanis sponsored the local Stars of Tomorrow Sunday at the Platte Valley Christian Center. Seventeen children from Hanna, Elk Mountain, Encampment and Saratoga participated in music, songs, dance and other talents.

Val Morris, the chairperson of the Stars of Tomorrow, cooridinated the acts for the programs fifth year.

The Kiwanis Traveling Bake Sale is 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday. Kiwanis members will be going around to businesses. People who are interested in buying goodies can also stop at The Flower Pot in downtown Saratoga.

The Kiwanis’ Encampment and Saratoga senior scholarships are now on file with the school counselors at both schools.

Kiwanis continues to sponsor the milk and muffin program once a month at Saratoga’s kindergarten and milk and graham crackers at the ExCel and Head Start schools. Kiwanis has been involved with this program for nearly 15 years.

Kiwanis is holding its new membership drive from now until May. This club is open to men and women who are interested in community service benefitting young children.

Kiwanis meets at 5:15 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at the Saratoga Senior Center.
