March 15 is the deadline for female students to apply for the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Wyoming Girls State program, which takes place June 8 through June 15, in Powell.
The Girls State program is a week-long session where students can learn about Wyoming government at the city, county and state levels.
Students who apply must be a junior in high school and attend school in Wyoming.
Eligibility includes being selected as a delegate and sponsored by an American Legion Auxiliary Department of Wyoming unit. Students who are home-schooled can apply as long as their curriculum is approved by the local school district and they are classified as a member of the junior class.
