The state brackets are set up for eight wrestlers per weight class.
All 11 Saratoga grapplers will wrestle at the state meet in Casper this weekend.
Following is a run down on each wrestler’s result from the regional tournament.
At 106 lbs., Daynon Mowery took fourth place. Unfortunately Bradley Bifano wrestled once and re-aggravated a neck injury that has plagued Bifano in the last part of the season. Bifano injury defaulted through the regional brackets but will heal in time for the state meet.
Chaze Wiant wrestled at 113 lbs. and finished third.
Thatcher Spiering and Hunter Mason, at 120 lbs., wrestled one another for first and second with Spiering edging out Mason.
Lionzo Escobedo had a strong weekend finishing second at 132 lbs.
Tate Stinson and Marshal Hill, both at 138 lbs., didn’t place in the regional tournament, but qualify for the state brackets.
Levi Weatherd took third, and Jacob Wells took second in the 220 lbs. weight class.
Hazer Hinkle found the podium this week finishing in second place in the heavyweight division. The team finished fourth in team totals. The tournament had 12 teams in the field.
