Application information for the 2013 Wonderful Wyoming Boys’ State Conference, June 1-7 at the State Fair Grounds in Douglas, is now available at the local High School, from local American Legion Posts and online at http://www.wyboysstate.org. Boys’ State, the nation’s premier program to develop tomorrow’s leaders, is sponsored by the American Legion and is offered to boys who have completed their junior year and have at least one remaining semester in high school. Applicants must be of good character and have an interest in government.
Delegates will compete for over $20,000 in scholarships and may earn three college credits for completion of the program. Two Wyoming delegates will have the opportunity to attend the Boys’ Nation program, in Washington, DC.
Boys’ State, which is funded by the local American Legion Posts and private sponsors, is provided at no charge to the delegates, other than a nominal registration fee.

Applications must be submitted to the high school student planning office or guidance counselor by March 1.
