After a successful two days at regionals, several Saratoga High School track team members are now mentally and physically preparing for their state meet starting this Thursday in Casper.
Coach Rex Hohnholt said several of his athletes are qualified and excited about the challenges that state presents for them. The state meet in Casper runs Thursday through Saturday, May 16-18.
Although their numbers were few, the Encampment High School track team boasted a five-time conference award winner and three top-five placers at the weekend Snake River and Shane Brock Invites.
The Saratoga Golf Team scored well again at their recent golf meet in Lusk last Saturday, complete with a first-place individual win from Braxton Schwartzkopf.
Schwartzkopf placed first for the boys, and Harley Klemola secured a respectable ninth place for the girls. Jerek Bateman was tied for ninth and 10th with two other players, but lost when they matched cards.

Saratoga High School’s golf team scored a good number of individual points at their recent tournament last Friday in Rawlins.
The tournament took place at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course in Rawlins and included participation from six team members.
