Encampment heads to regionals

Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) (20-2), (7-0) will remain number one in the Boys 1A southwest conference, and Encampment (14-5), (6-2) will go into the regional bracket as number two. LSRV came out on top of a low scoring defensive battle, 28-37.

Lady Tigers show fortitude to the end

The Encampment girls team never gave up. There is an old adage, “Don’t die with bullets left in your gun.” The Lady Tigers had few numbers and were plagued with injuries throughout the season. With only one substitute the Lady Tigers had no choice but to fight until the end.

Lady Panthers go pink in regular season ender

The Lady Panthers finished regular season play against their Valley rivals, the Encampment Lady Tigers, Saturday night in the Panther Den. The Ladies played the “Pink Panther game” for breast cancer awareness.

Panthers edge Tigers in Valley rivalry

In a game that came down to the wire, Saratoga beat Encampment, 43-41. There were seven lead changes in this game and the score was tied numerous times. Both teams played very well and this was a great basketball game to end the regular season play.

Every grappler to wrestle at state meet

The state brackets are set up for eight wrestlers per weight class.
All 11 Saratoga grapplers will wrestle at the state meet in Casper this weekend.
Following is a run down on each wrestler’s result from the regional tournament.

Giving their two cents

Lara Gilliam’s Pretty Pennies race in the 33rd annual Donald E. Erickson Chariot Races Saturday. Gilliam finished the weekend with a time of 46.57 for both days. The time earned her a first place win in the second division.
