Running against the chill at Saratoga Invite

The Saratoga Panthers managed to fight off cold weather and pull through with respectable times on their home turf during Friday’s Saratoga Invitational.
The invite took place at the Saratoga Golf Course, where Coach Rex Hohnholt said he was happy it didn’t start pouring rain on the competitors, who were already bundled up in warmer clothing.

Lady Tigers light up match

The Tigers defeated the Lady Longhorns with scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-27 and 26-24, after beating them with one formal game and one tournament game earlier in 2013. Friday’s match looked to be all Tigers during the first two games, until Rock River bounced back with a winning third game and close call in winning the fourth.

Lady Panthers score double victory

The Saratoga High School girls volleyball team celebrated a victorious playing streak last weekend, scoring two winning matches that both featured three-game takedowns.

Panthers plan hero homecoming

Homecoming at Saratoga Middle High School begins Monday according to a press release from the school.
The theme for this year is “Panther Heroes.”
Homecoming lasts through Oct. 5 and will have specific spirit day themes and students are encouraged to participate by dressing to match the day’s theme.

Lady golfers end club

Ending the season on a positive note, members of the Saratoga Ladies Golf Association (SLGA) enjoyed their last formal golf play and honorary banquet last Thursday.
