The amendment to the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance for the town of Encampment was passed after it’s third and final reading. Town Clerk Doreen Harvey stated the only change in the third reading was that the attorney’s advice that the term “alcoholic liquors” be replaced with the term “alcoholic beverages”. Ed Glode is finishing up his second month as the new mayor of Saratoga and last week was a busy one for the new mayor. Glode attended the Planning Commission meeting and the Carbon County/Saratoga Impact Joints Powers Board (Water and Sewer Board) and took a tour with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and members of the Water and Sewer Board of the sewage treatment facility north of Saratoga. Bio-Domes were the main topic of discussion last Thursday night when Mayor Leroy Stephenson and the rest of the Riverside Town Council talked about improvements to the towns wastewater lagoon facility.
