This year, Saratoga Skijoring went 3D. In previous years, there were Novice, Intermediate, and Expert classes a team could enter. A team might enter the “Intermediate” division and have a time slower than the fastest in the “Novice” category. That would win them … exactly nothing. Our local youths can be at their best when they play sports. They sacrifice their time and sweat to practice. They keep their grades up. They give their heart and soul to their team and the prospect of winning. They learn sportsmanship and teamwork. They also learn respect. In short, our student athletes learn all kinds of valuable lessons from the game. It is a shame that they also learn how petty adults can be. The powers that be are proposing getting rid of administrative support staff in Rawlins thus making defendants call Laramie for assistance.
