Floyd was born May 5, 1930 at home in rural Maries County, Mo., the second son of Sarah Ellen (Deardueff) Roberson and Floyd Clinton Roberson. Morgan Kay Merrill, 17, was unexpectedly called home Sept. 7, 2013. Morgan was born Jan. 10, 1996 in Laramie. Morgan attended Bennett High School and graduated with the class of 2013. Jeanette F. Mason Baker, a resident of Saratoga, since July 1995, died Aug. 27 at Saratoga’s Deseret Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 19, 1935, the oldest daughter of Leo and Eva (now Stubbs) Cummins, in Newcastle. Jeanette was diagnosed with Type I diabetes while a teenager and survived a crippling stroke in May 2001. Don McVey passed away of a massive heart attack at 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the North Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho. Don was born on Sept. 15, 1934 to Jack and Adeline McVey in Ronan, Mont. Don spent a good percentage of his youth farmed out to farmers and ranchers to help with the haying and the everyday chores. Richard Thomas Fisher, 84, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Laramie Care Center. He was born on May 17, 1929 in Laramie, Wyo, to Richard and Matilda Roberts Fisher. Two years later shortly after the birth of his sister, Alice, his mother died and Richard then made his home with Reno and Marietta Chace. Lorraine Dorothy Kelley, of Encampment, passed away on Aug. 23, 2013 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie. The world lost a beautiful sprit in Lorraine, after a long-fought battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family when she was called home to her Heavenly Father. Edwardo “Eddie” Escobedo was born Sept. 12, 1989. He passed away Aug. 9, 2013 in Denver. Edwardo grew up in Saratoga and attended grade school through high school graduating with the class of 2008. Services for Eduardo (Eddie) Escobedo, who died in a motorcycle wreck Friday morning, are planned for Thursday. The first service will take place 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Saratoga High School for friends and family. Vernon “Bob” Jackson passed away on July 26, 2013, at the age of 71. Vernon was born Oct. 9, 1941 in Tampa, Fla., and was the son of Burrel and Jewell Jackson. He married Vicky L. Beckham on Nov. 10, 1979 in Cheyenne. Vernon served served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Marine forever. He loved everything about the Marine Corps, and the military. Richard Lealand Allen, 76, passed away at his home in Riverside on July 11, 2013. He was born July 19,1936 in Greeley, Colo. He grew up in Denver and attended Manual High School. Ralph J. King, born Jan. 12, 1932, in Lamar Colo., passed away June 4, 2013. He grew up in Lamar Colo., and had been a resident of Pueblo since 1961. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as a hospital corpsman second class. He enlisted on Nov. 1, 1950, and was assigned to the USS Haven hospital ship.
