The 26th Annual Platte Valley Helping Hands (PVHH) Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner will again be provided by delivery only, by PVHH Volunteers on Thanksgiving Day, November 24. The Rick Martin Memorial Park (previously Prospect Park) in Riverside is visited by hundreds of folks, both local and tourists, year around. The Encampment Beef Committee was started over 50 years ago by Young Jim York. Jerry Kraft said that York started the Encampment Beef Committee because he felt they needed something more for the Encampment 4H kids that weren't getting the big sales at fair and to make more scholarships available, to new graduates as well as students in their Junior and Senior years. The season has been extended for the Farmers Market at the Saratoga Museum.
