We are having a wonderful time here at Sagebrush Senior Center because some of our snow birds have landed back here in Encampment. We welcome the Remicks and the Pratts back to the Valley. Miss Carbon County is collecting donations for her Coronation Ceremony. During the ceremony, Mandy Harris will be officially crowned Miss Carbon County. Saratoga’s Finest 4-H club held its regular monthly meeting on March 26. The club started by making “Peeps” race cars to take to the Senior Center. There was also the election of officers. The community garden, which began last year, will have a full growing season and can begin signing up for the beds. The beds are $25 each and entitle the renters to use of the bed and to pick produce from the community strawberry plants and apple trees in the garden. The garden also has three beds of herbs to be used for education purposes. The beds are 9-foot long by 3-foot wide and 18 inches high are available to anyone who lives in the Platte Valley.
