The Upper Valley Search and Rescue sold 261 poker hands Sunday at the 16th Annual Ben Romios Memorial Poker Run. A total of $2,610 was brought in from the hands, in addition to other money that was donated toward the event. Six prize money gifts were given to three high winners and three low winners. At Deseret Health and Rehab, residents enjoyed many activities throughout the week. The Activity Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents' interests, as well as the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident. After an 11 month deployment in Afghanistan, Navy Chief Petty Officer Derek Ten Eyck is returning to Saratoga. A welcome home party is planned at St. Ann’s Parish Saturday, March 1 after the 5:30 p.m. mass. His wife, Amanda, said she is very excited to have him come home. More than $20,000 was raised at Saturday's "E-Club Cake Auction" held as part of Encampment K-12 School's homecoming festivities. A total of 94 cakes were entered into the auction, which took place in front of a packed crowd after Encampment's Saturday homecoming games.
