    Skyler Petit, a 23-year-old from Denver, earned the title of Rocky Mountain All-Around Lumberjack at this past weekend's Woodchoppers Jamboree. This is Petit's first year to win the overall championship at the Encampment competition. He has been competing since he was 10 years old, and travels Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico competing in different events.     We give thanks to two very special volunteers from the Saratoga Missionary Alliance Church—Terry and Judy Hicks—we have flowers in the front of our building and on the patio. With the advent of warmer weather, residents are going out on the patio to enjoy the sun and the beautiful flowers. The bench seat outside our front door is receiving residents as well.     Roland "Rolly" and Cheryl Bowen of Elk Mountain recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 8, 2014. Rolly and Cheryl, both longtime Elk Mountain residents, were married in 1964 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral in Laramie. They said they met sometime in 1961 at a dance hall in Elk Mountain. She moved to Rawlins the day after graduation and went to work at Memorial Hospital, where she was employed for two years.     The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and Rebekahs Educational Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee met to select students for scholarships May 29 through June 2. The committee, including Saratogan Jim Wiant, and six members from other states, met in Jackson for three days to choose 26 scholarship recipients from across the country.
