    The Mudd Riots came back to life on August 27 at the Whistle Pig Saloon and the mud started flying at 11 a.m. With a crew of a dozen, never say never men and women, they put on a Mudd Riot that wowed the crowds. The Mudd Riots began in 2020 during the pandemic. The Pig Digger at the Whistle Pig was canceled because of the pandemic so a few brave souls dared to cross the line and create a new event, "The Mudd Riots".     Spirits were high and excited voices filled the Platte Valley Community Center Great Hall for the 8th annual C.J. Box Trivia event sponsored by the Saratoga Museum. Baked potatoes with all the fixings and plenty of sweets were served before the contest. Sadly, C.J.     The Town of Encampment sponsored a tasty barbeque and lots of goodies on August 6. The music from "Pert Near Sandstone musicians, Sipe and Kniebel, J Lenz, Justin Bruhn and Matt Cartier gave us a taste of folksy, Americana style music with a modern twist.
