Adults and kids alike enjoyed the Party on the ice sponsored by the Platte Valley Kiwanis. Susan Marich, President of the Kiwanis here in Saratoga, was thrilled by the turnout, which appeared to be approximately 80 visitors. The Valley Service Organization (VSO) continued their 41 year tradition of hosting the Christmas parade in Saratoga. This year's theme was "Christmas Magic". December 3 started the Christmas season in Carbon County in a resounding manner as holiday events were held in several different communities. At the "Old Pen" in Rawlins, there was a bazaar and the town's "Festival of Trees" in the evening. The cowboy town also played host to "Rudolph the Red Nose Christmas" at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. The Saratoga Museum held an event that has not been seen here, in Saratoga, in the past. The first Model Train Show was held November 19, 2022 and it was a hit with more that 140 attending the event. Museum Director, Dana Davis, wanted to create an event that would be family friendly as well as get kids and adults interested in trains and museums.
