Missoula Children’s Theatre will hold auditions Monday for its production of “Rapunzel”. Auditions will take place from 4-6 p.m. Monday at the Platte Valley Community Center theater. Carbon County School District No. 2 administrators are beginning to look at new standards adopted by Wyoming a year ago. The new standards, known as Common Core, apply to math and language arts learning primarily and are focused on preparing students for college. Richard Thomas Fisher, 84, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Laramie Care Center. He was born on May 17, 1929 in Laramie, Wyo, to Richard and Matilda Roberts Fisher. Two years later shortly after the birth of his sister, Alice, his mother died and Richard then made his home with Reno and Marietta Chace. After 30 years of teaching in Carbon County, Pam Kraft is stepping down from her position as art teacher for the Encampment K-12 School.
