The Rawlins Outlaws experienced a rough outing on the road as they were hosted by the Douglas Bearcats (13-4, 7-0) on February 6.

“It was a tough game to say the least,” said Head Coach David Greninger. “We’re pretty beat up right now as far as injuries go.”

The Rawlins Outlaw grapplers hosted twice last week, first for a dual against the Lander Valley Tigers on February 3 and then the Rawlins Rumble over the weekend.

Facing Lander on the mats, the Outlaws went 39-27 for a home win.

One in three teenagers will be in an abusive or unhealthy relationship and yet only around 32% of them will tell anyone about the abuse according to statistics presented by Brylee Holcomb, the Rawlins Police Department Victims Specialist, on February 4.

The Rawlins City Council voted last week to support the creation of a multi-block destination district centered on the community’s unique place in national transportation and recreation history.

Rawlins city officials are grappling with how to balance residents’ ability to afford water service with the mounting cost of repairing the city’s aging water infrastructure. 

The issue was discussed during last week’s Rawlins City Council meeting after Councilman Derek Elliott asked fellow council members to consider reducing water rates, citing financial strain on residents following a major rate increase in 2024.
