Fishing 101 with TU

Platte Valley Trout Unlimited held a free Spring Fishing 101 class to help anglers sharpen their skills on Saturday, March 28 at the Platte Valley Community Center.

The class was hosted by TU State Coordinator Ian McCreary–who covered fishing basics, water features, tactics, fly choice and ethics.

Hosanna and the Abyss

We will soon stand with palms and branches in our hands, welcoming Jesus into Jerusalem as King. Jesus Christ is King. Everything in our life and in the whole created world belongs to Him; there is nothing over which He is not the true ruler. As we take up our palms and branches, we affirm that Christ and his Kingdom is our only reality. Everything belongs to Him.

How many times will it need to be declared that we can have as much of God as we want? And how many tears will we shed from the sadness of knowing that most people only want enough to get by? Having a serious spiritual relationship with God is difficult, as it takes a high level of desire and discipline on our part.

Meal prep can be overwhelming in and of itself, but trying to choose what to pair with the entrée and attempting to time it all to come together can sometimes be challenging. So, I would like to discuss an easy meal with two easy sides and how to make this kitchen magic work beautifully!
