Saratoga 4-H elects officers

Saratoga’s Finest 4-H club held its regular monthly meeting on March 26. The club started by making “Peeps” race cars to take to the Senior Center. There was also the election of officers. Here’s who was elected to serve for the 2013 4-H year:
Sentinel—Wyatt Carricato
Reporter—Aubrey Berger
Treasurer—Cameron Lehr
Secretary-—Haley Soles
Vice President— Jace Berger
President—Micayla Crimmins

Easter Egg hunt results

Winners of the Encampment/Riverside Fire Department Easter egg hunt were as follows.
Preschool: Carson Everett won first, second and third place.
Kindergarten and first grade: first, Janine Lamoureux; second, Cody Starck; third Ashtyn Wells.
Second and third grade: first, Peyton Munroe; second, Amanda Musacchio; third, Cora Schroeder.

American Legion Auxiliary news

The American Legion Auxiliary met at 6:30 p.m. March 19 at the Legion Club.
department president Joyce Menke paid her official visit to the auxiliary unit.
Seven applications have been received for the Auxiliary Scholarship.
Past president pins were presented to unit members Fran Payne-Rogers, Kathleen Martin and Diana Galbraith.
An invitation ceremony will take place for new members Mandy Cooper and Leslie Pacheco.

Line dancing to resume this week

Five people were at the Saratoga Senior Center to play bingo Tuesday. Two-dollar winners were Grace Johnston, Madaline Forbes and Berniel McCord. Madaline Forbes won the $4 blackout round.
On Monday, we had two tables for duplicate bridge. We were trying something different so there were not any winners this week.

Residents observe Easter

At Deseret Health and Rehab, residents enjoyed many activities throughout the week. The Activity Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents’ interests, as well as the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident.

Spring ... or not?

Spring is in the air, or is it? All that snow didn’t stop our dedicated coffee drinkers or our lunch eaters. It’s getting closer to installation of our new Heating and Air Conditioner, looks as though it will be installed just in time for summer. It was brought to my attention that the rule of delivering meals within a 5 mile radius does not apply to Encampment Senior Center.
