Activities, volunteers keep residents busy

At Deseret Health and Rehab, residents enjoyed many activities throughout the week. The Activity Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents’ interests, as well as the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident.

Senior Center warns against scam

There were two tables for Duplicate Bridge. High winners were Bob Johnson and Mariel O’Grady.

Club notes: Legion Auxiliary reaches 94 percent membership

American Legion Auxiliary met April 16 at the post with nine members present.
It was reported that the group was at about 94 percent of its membership goal with only five members needing to pay their dues. The American Legion Auxiliary heard reports from the four members that attended the district meeting in Rawlins April 13.

Birth: Blair Madaline Sedman

Blair Madaline Sedman was born at 11:48 a.m. on April 1, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb. She was born 8 lbs., 12 oz. and 21.5 inches long.
The proud parents are James and LeeAnn (Forbes) Sedman. LeeAnn was raised in Saratoga and graduated from Saratoga High School in 2000. Jack Allen Sedman, 2 1/2, is the proud big brother.

Catching up with Encampment

Let us get caught up on the news from Encampment. Dominos were played on a daily basis; winners were Ginny Riddick once, Jack Riddick once, and Betty Merrill once, Joe Remick three times Phil Fleming twice, Madeline Telfer twice, and Bob Thompson. The Best of Friends is the puzzle that is being worked on. Bridge players were Rosemary Craighead, Shelia Johnson, Kay Fleming, Evelyn Hammer and Vivian Campbell on Wednesdays.

Big plans for National Nursing Home Week

At Deseret Health and Rehab, residents enjoyed many activities throughout the week. The Activities Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents’ interest, as well as the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
On May 1, Janice Kerpan gave nine ladies beautiful hair dos and Brenda did the nails of those nine ladies.

Senior Center planning a flea market

We had six stay for bingo. Two-dollar winners were Pat Faust, Berneil McCord, Winnie Allen and Grace Johnston. Merle Starr and Berneil McCord shared the $4 blackout round.
There were two tables for Duplicate Bridge. High winners were Glee Johnson and Vivien Campbell. Second high winners were Marilyn Walck and Mary Alice Sjoden.
