    Joshua Wood|Sep 4, 2019

With programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Al-Anon, it may be assumed that those who struggled with recovery from addiction have a number of resources at their disposal. One thing that seems to be lacking for those in recovery, however, is a sense of community. That is where Christi Kelley, Chairman of We-Covery, is hoping to help. We-Covery is a new local non-profit with the stated goal to “support the recovery community by putting a face on recovery to e...

  • It takes a Frenchman

    Mike Armstrong|Sep 4, 2019

I have made no secret of my love for Carbon County in the summe. I really think it is one of the greatest places in the world during this time. It is also pretty cool when a person from an entirely different culture reinforces your beliefs. Last week an excellent friend from France came to visit me on his world tour. Where The Friendship Began I met Didier several decades ago in Taichung, Taiwan. He had been in the city (it is the third largest in Taiwan) about a year before I came. When I met...

During the 6th Annual Firearm Training last week, John Russo and other teachers held one class on protection out at the Silver Spur gun range and visited the senior class at Saratoga Middle/High School. Ru...
