The Activity Department offers a wide variety of activities each week to meet the residents’ interests, as well as the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident.     All is well in Encampment, although June flew by way too fast. We kept an eye on blood pressures of 40 people this month, thanks so much to Helen Weilend for Volunteering to do blood pressures this month. We have had 58 coffee drinkers in as of Friday. Quilters have been sewing away on Miss Nancy’s Quilt. We have had over 100 game players throughout this month. Our faithful volunteers deliver the home delivery meal and Kim and I appreciate it.     The St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will celebrate 125 years of service to Saratoga with the arrival of something new. The church’s 125th birthday rolls around June 30 at 12:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and experience some of the new additions to the area.   • Town council moves to change term expiration dates

    The Saratoga Town Council voted to amend an ordinance, which will affect terms of several town officers. The ordinance currently states the appointment of the town clerk, treasurer, chief of police, attorney and municipal judge shall be four years with terms ending in July. The town’s attorney Tom Thompson urged the town to amend the ordinance to end the terms in January because of past federal cases.     Beginning July 1, Wyoming veterans have the option of requesting a veteran designation be shown on the front of their Wyoming driver’s license or identification cards.     According to Royce Kelley, he has yet to receive a cease and desist order putting a stop to his saw milling, and he doesn’t expect to receive it.     The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is warning job seekers using the Wyoming At Work system of an email scam operated by a company posing as AEB International. The Department encourages job seekers to fully research employers before submitting an application. The recipients of the fraudulent emails are asked to deposit a check sent by the scammers into the jobseeker’s bank account.
