As of June 1, 2015, Health Management Services (HMS), a Montana-based corporation, took over this facility. It has a three-year lease with an option to buy. Since HMS already has another facility named Valley View Nursing Home, we are now Saratoga Care Center. The contractor for the Sage Creek Road Project has resumed construction, according to an email sent to Carbon County Road and Bridge Supervisor Bill Nation, U.S. Forest Service District Ranger Melanie Fullman and Ralph Tarango with Wyoming Department of Transportation. Lake Creek road will be closed on the Pennock Wildlife Habitat Management Area near Saratoga until further notice. Access to Pennock Mountain is still available on the Bureau of Land Management Road 3417 on the south end of the unit. Mark Cufaude, Saratoga Habitat and Access Biologist, said the road will remain closed until things dry out and the department can get the road bladed and smoothed out.
