Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Robbie Evelyn Zeiger passed away at the Palisades Living Center in Palisades, Colorado on March 29, 2018. She was born on February 3, 1938 in Dale, Arkansas to Chester F. and Esther (Melson) Tabor. The family moved to Hanna in 1946 where she spent her childhood years. She met Floyd “Bud” Geiger and they were later married on July 27 1957. They moved to Saratoga where they made their home until his passing. University of Wyoming (UW) Head Football Coach Craig Bohl is coming to Saratoga. Doug Campbell, co-owner of the Wolf Hotel, is bringing in the coach for a meet and greet luncheon April 23. The lunch, which will be tenderloin salad, costs $100 a person with the proceeds going to benefit the Platte Valley Community Center. Rex Rudd, Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) member, told the Hanna Town Council, the VFW Post 6680 in Medicine Bow would be closing down due to lack of new members coming on board to replace the members who had departed. The Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School track team had good meets last week according to head coach Jackie Jones. “Last week was a good one for the HEM track,” Jones said. “Our athletes were able to compete against good competition, and proved themselves in Wheatland and Rock Springs.” After 34 events in Wheatland, HEM came in 2nd. The dynamic Wyoming weather may have forced the cancellation of the Rawlins Invite, but that didn’t stop the Saratoga Panthers from finding two other invites in which to compete last week. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 16, the Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) received a call of a fire at Saratoga Forest Management lumber mill. According to reports, smoke was spotted coming from piles of sawdust at the mill as early as noon.
