Alice Ann Blom Bennett passed away at hospice in Denver, Feb. 9, 2019 at the age of 82. Alice was born and raised in Saratoga on her father's ranch, East of Saratoga, and active in 4-H and FHA. She graduated from Platte Valley High School in 1954, and from Barnes Business College in Denver. Patricia L. Pennock, 67, of Cheyenne and Saratoga, Wyo., passed away early Sat. morning, March 2, 2019 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Patricia was born April 17, 1951 in Rawlins, a daughter of the late Louis "Skeeter" and Nancy (Armstrong) Pennock. Patricia was a graduate of the Chicago Institute of Art and was the longtime owner of Whitney's Saddle Shop in Saratoga. She will be remembered as a fine artist and a lovely person. Over the weekend, the four member Saratoga speech team traveled the shortest distance it has all season as they went to Rawlins to complete in the Outlaw Invite. While there, sophomore Shelby Randall and senior Leila Randall broke into semi-finals. Saratoga also returned home with a 2nd place Sweepstakes trophy.
