    The Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding its Annual Meeting and Dinner Thursday at 6 p.m. with cocktails at the Platte Valley Community Center.     For the second full week in January, women in Saratoga will have a chance to get a mammogram without having to drive out of town and could get some help covering the cost.     Saratoga native and long-time resident Chester ‘Chet’ Davidson passed away on Dec.10, 2012, in Gillette. Chet was born on June 30, 1921, in Saratoga to F. Harry Davidson and Alice Kennaday Davidson, homesteaders above Cedar Creek. He joined sisters Amonda, Vita, and Louiza ‘Billye’; and later Eleanora ‘Sis’, Charles ‘Dan’, and Rae were added. The family moved to the Davidson Ranch south of Saratoga in 1928. After graduating from Platte Valley High School, he attended the University of Wyoming until 1942 when he enlisted in the Army Air Corp....

    Saratoga High School freshman Sierra Schutte is following in her brother’s footsteps by being accepted into Wyoming’s All-State Choir. Sierra said she loves to sing and last year she took a music class, but she also practice’s a lot at home.     On Tuesdays and Thursdays shoppers at Valley Foods will get to see, taste, smell and buy meals cooked by Chef Eugene Api. Shoppers at the store in the morning will smell the aroma of food as Api prepares his featured meal of the day. On Friday, that meal was chili served over jasmine rice, with steamed vegetables on the side.     Seven Rawlins residents, including four children ages 6, 4, 3 and 1-1/2, were rescued early Saturday morning on Bridger Pass. David and Michelle Wolfe, Nathan Gallant and the four children left Rawlins Friday morning to hunt elk in the Bridger Pass area. Friday evening, as the three adults and four children headed back to Rawlins, their vehicle became stuck in drifted snow.
